Willsie, 32, appeared in just four games with Colorado last season and did not register a point. WASHINGTON (AP) -Defenseman Jeff Schultz has agreed to a four-year, $11 million contract to remain with the Washington Capitals.

The deal was announced Wednesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old Schultz led the NHL last season with a plus-50 rating and had a team-high 129 blocked shots. He had three goals and career highs of 20 assists and 23 points in 73 games.

Arlington, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals have signed free agent goaltender Dany Sabourin to a one-year contract. Sabourin, 29, has played in 57 career NHL games over parts of five seasons with Calgary, Pittsburgh and Vancouver. He has posted an 18-25-4 record and a 2.87 goals-against average. Sabourin spent 2009-10 with Providence, the Boston Bruins' AHL affiliate, and was 28-27-0 with a 2.67 GAA, .915 save percentage and three shutouts.
